Yeah. Although there is lost net REVENUE per product (i.e. profit) from video/music downloads, there is not actually any associated COST aside from that (and net revenue b/c they didn’t actually have to put anything into physically manufacturing the item that was “stolen”).
I.e. it didn’t cost anyone anything to “make” the instance of the movie/show/song that you are “stealing”, so it just isn’t the same as stealing a physical object (like a CD or a purse or whatever). Sure, it could still be seen as stealing in some sense (and it’s probably “wrong”), but not in the sense that they depict it in those commercials.
