And in celebration our upcoming Sweet 16 (16th episode - September 26th), and Hot Stuff’s new calling in the field of electronic comic art, here’s Part 1 of 2 of…

Podcast primer in the NY Times! Silverorange, TWiT, Diggnation+

Friday, July 22nd, 2005

Makes for a good Friday morning to see friend Steven Garrity (from the web design firm silverorange - based in Charlottetown, PEI), Diggnation, TWiT, and other podcasters in the NY Times this morning (found this on Digg, with easy log-in info - username: teste  password: teste).

The article also mentions Podcast Alley (and commandN just made it to the Top 10 - so thanks for voting).  As always, expect another video (Episode #7) Monday!

commandN #14 on Podcast Alley! News from the team

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

We’re moving on up on Podcast Alley, so thanks to everyone who voted for us (and to Leo Laporte for asking folks to vote for us).

OTHER NEWS FROM THE COMMANDN TEAM
Our post-production editor, Brian,
is away on holiday right now (he deserves it after working eves and w/ends on commandN!).  He made us promise to take a screenshot
if we make it to the Top 10 on Podcast Alley, so if you haven’t done so
already vote for us here to make that happen.

Jeff is plugging away on some segments over the next few weeks.  If you have tech questions or ideas for him, fire him off an email.  He’s in Sri Lanka on business next month, so if we’re lucky we’ll also get him to do a segment from there!

Mike(y) is working on a few short-and-sweet how-to segments that he’ll post here within the next couple of days (e.g. how to subscribe and watch commandN on iTunes, etc.).

Amber (I’m writing this, so I guess I can say "I"!) is working with the team to plan content for upcoming episodes.  One of our ideas for an upcoming contest (Episode 10) is to ask viewers to submit their own tech/how-to segment - winner’s video will air on commandN (stay tuned for more details!).

That’s it for now.  Thx for watching/listening/reading/clicking/downloading.

commandN - Search for us and subscribe in iTunes

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

ScreenshotWe finally made it into the "Podcast Directory" in iTunes (our H.264
feed), so now you can subscribe to our weekly tech video show and watch
it directly in iTunes (must have iTunes 4.9).  All you have to do is search the directory for "commandN’ and click "subscribe."  Enjoy!

Someone listed us in the Vlog Map, so thanks for that ;).

P.S.  We added a donations button, so if you want to contribute to help us buy equipment and cover the general expenses we incur while we produce the show the money will be put to good use.  Thanks in advance!
