Well, we said we had a surprise for our viewers coming in the new year and here it is - a brand new commandN.tv website!

This has been a long time coming - our venerable Typepad blog having carried us as far as it could go - and we’re really looking forward to taking advantage of the new site. Not only did we want a site that better reflected the growth commandN has seen since its debut three-and-a-half years ago, we wanted a site that could better server our fantastic community of viewers without whom there would be no commandN. We’ve also got more business-related content for sponsors and other partners who have generously allowed commandN the ability to buy new equipment, try out new gear, and travel to events, and we’ll be trying to bring you more of that in 2009 and beyond.

So please bear with us as we get the kinks knocked out of the new site, tweak some content, and incorporate our back catelog. And as always, thanks for watching!

MGImedia’s video podcast production, commandN, was recently named one of PC Magazine’s top 20 podcasts worth downloading. Our show was listed in the same category as well-known podcasts such as NPR’s Fresh Air and Revision3’s Tekzilla.

iTunes Canada released its top podcast awards for 2008 and commandN once again made the list of top Classics podcasts for 2008, which puts the show among other podcast winners including CBC’s The Hour and TEDTalks.

commandN/MGImedia’s Jeff MacArthur was recently interviewed by the Halifax Chronicle Herald newspaper with regards to the Canadian iPhone launch by Apple and Rogers. Jeff also covers the product launch and provides a review of the new iPhone 3G in Episodes 140 and 141 of commandN.tv.

New York Times technology columnist David Pogue joined the MGImedia team in Toronto for a feature story on CP24/CTV and commandN. Pogue spoke about his work at the Times, the evolution of newspapers, and his years on Broadway. The journalist has worked at the Times for almost a decade, but he is also well known as an author and speaker.

You asked for it and we delivered! The official commandN YouTube Channel is  now live (and we already have many great clips from the commandN library uploaded).
