OK so do not adjust your monitors for the intro, the focus is on the banister for one of the following reasons
A. I am an artist and I want to make you re-think the banisters role in our society. How does it always know what direction you are going in? What role does it serve other than for skateboarding?
B. I was distracted and knocked the focus ring because I had a small child growing out of my chest
Paul: I’m pretty sure there’s LOTS of things that would qualify as “propaganda” that have used greenscreens - such a good tool for “lying” to the audience .
I really enjoy Commandn and look forward to each episode. For me, I really look forward to the web picks - I love hearing about what others find useful and how they get more from tech. Is there a chance that a future episode could be dedicated to picks - instead of just the one or two in each ep? Of course I do listen to Net@night for those but I crave more.
Michael: Thanks for the webPICK focus ep idea - we’ll think about that for sure.
Byron: Oh, yeah - gotta have the H264 for the iPhoners/iPadders since Steve’s got his Flash hate on .
Frank/R: Thanks for the kind words.
We’ll have another episode out early this coming week. Things have been a little crazy in commandN land but we should be settled down into a little less random a schedule starting with the next ep.
When I decided to pay a premium price for a 3D blockbuster I expected a memorable picture. Besides the fact that Johnny Deep plays a great role as usual and H.B. Carter also has a nice performance the overall plot is dull and static. I believe that because they had to “improvise” and write a new story continuing the original one, the quality of the screenplay and plot decreased significantly. Although there are some funny moments and well written lines for the main characters, many of the others pass by unnoticed. Overall it was a nice, entertaining flick with average 3D effects, way below Avatar, and a simple, uncomplicated plot. Also it was rather short since I expected 120 minutes at least and not 100. Finally I would this movie performed below my expectations. A 7/10 would be a fair grade in my honest opinion.
Anyone else having trouble with playing new episodes on iPod Touch via iTunes? I download the episodes okay but when trying to sync to my Touch iTunes says the video format isn’t supported and doesn’t copy them. (But if I manually download an episode on my Touch over wi-fi it plays fine.) This happens on both the h.264 and mpeg4 feeds.. Any idea how I can fix (assuming the video really is fine)?
Hi webmaster - This is by far the best looking site I’ve seen. It was completely easy to navigate and it was easy to look for the information I needed. Fantastic layout and great content! Every site should have that. Awesome job
Thanks Preggers and Jerry re the site - Amber and my company, MGImedia.ca, did the usability and design. So glad you like it!
Dave T: I’m going to try this out and see what’s up. Can you send me an email with the problem so we’re sure to get it fixed? info@commandn.tv will do it.
I draw stuff for a living and recently did a neat experiment on Chat roulette where I set up a capture of my desktop showing my adobe illustrator artboard and did caricature drawings of people. There were some people that were just weird, and some noodz, but I did manage to meet some people that were happy to be drawn and it was a positive experience, and helped me get some drawing practice done.
I think it’s an interesting social thing, I doubt that alot of the people would behave the way they do in person yet on the internet theres less problem with inappropriate behavior. Why is that?
Does the anonymity just empower people to do things that they shouldn’t because there is no way for them to get caught and therefore face any consequences?, or do they just like the attention.
Sorry for being so wordy, I just find it fascinating.
Fun shoot in the Podcamp Toronto space - great event!

Behind the Green Screen: Could it be used for propaganda?
Propaganda is a form of communication aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.

I appreciated the interview with CaseStudiesOnline.com This should prove useful for me helping people plan Social Media projects.
