@Ryan
All my Facebook Connect experiences were in Espanol! It was very multicultural.

That is a real Who’s Who Voice-over, the viz is all us obviously
@Dan
Very cold, we would love to be shooting in SF.
another great episode
love the new web site
I am looking forward to Jeffs decabled segment but i have not had cable in a while , i just watch online tv on my lappy , mainly hulu.com
Wow…what a nice surprise. Great new look…very clean! Amber, I misread the badge that you’re on for a moment…I thought it said “Date CommandN”…I thought “what the!?”
The donate link is bringing up an error for me (”Sorry — your last action could not be completed
“). BTW, my CommandN t-short arrived way sooner than I expected here in NZ.
Happy New Year guys. Well done on another fantastic episode and an AWSOME website. Look forward to seeing more in 2009. How about more dangerous wildlife, possibly rabbits!!!
DALE: Actually, Aaron, our web guy, is working on that as we speak. Take a peak later this week and let us know if it’s working for all you Chrome users.
PS: Amber also forgot to thank our wonderful MGImedia.ca designer, Shane Whitehouse, who did the design for the site - thanks so much for the new look Shane!
Good show, guys. I loved Jeff’s decabling segment. I decabled myself in July when I moved to Canada, so I subscribed to the new blog and I’m looking forward to more there and here on the subject.
Also, I just got my new website up and running, registered through GoDaddy. Thanks for the discount. It’s a site where you can donate to charity for free. It’s running on WordPress at ClickJar.com. Check it out.
Thanks again.
Not sure what Jeff was saying about Opera 9….. I am a dedicated Opera user (ver. 9.6) and I currently have Flash Version 10 installed. If it was stuck at version 7, I could not even view the show in my browser. Just a note.
Canadian geese live year round here in North Carolina . They have their pride however . I see ducks begging for food at drive throughs but the geese concentrate on child rearing!
Martin B: I was specifically talking about Opera on the Wii, not the “desktop” Opera r.e. the Flash video problem. Definitely let me know if you’ve found this not to be true on the Wii (I checked mine and had read that it was the case).
Leo: Nice to see you in the comments - Happy New Year!
And thanks everyone else for the great comments and tips!
The new commandN looks great. Thanks for mentioning Blip.FM on net@nite. You should have plugged my page Blip.FM/PaulFrankRizzo. See my website for my Social Networking links. Hope Jeff is doing well.
@Amber - here’s me in one sharp-looking shirt: http://unirunner.com/node/389 - BTW, I really like the Facebook Connect feature. If I could get it going on my old Drupal install I would be happy. Yea, right!
Great show and really great new site. Amber mentionned you’re using Wordpress now. Just wanted to know if you are using GoDaddy to host it? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Another great show. Loved the Hinterland Whos Who shout out at the end. Keep the Canadian content coming! I’d love to see you guys add someone from out west with a weekly segment. With Jeff on the east coast, Amber in the middle you need to find someone from out west to represent Canada coast to coast.
Guys, a heads up….Now that Amber’s posted and it’s appeared on a new page, I’m finding I can’t go back and see the first 50 comments. “Next” and “Older” are doing nothing. Amber’s also listed as post 1 rather than 51. Looks like a bug.
OK…and what gets weird, the “Next” and “Older” was at the bottom of the page. When I posted my comment, a new link appeared “Older comments” and that one works….so a bit odd. Maybe you’re working on it at the moment?
They are some of the nastiest animals on the planet. They have been known to break bones when snapping at people. I am glad you got away with a mere bite. Geese are nasty but nothing comes close to the swan. They are descendants from raptors!!
It was a great episode. A comment needs to be made about the scarf and the microphone. It seems to damper down Amber’s voice. I noticed this in this and the last episode.
Hey have been watching commandN for years but never got around to registering and after hearing net@night, I had to see how amazing (Amber) Facebook Connect is!
I love the idea of decabling and would love to try it, we already have an Apple TV hacked with Boxee and a Netflix account but unfortunately Comcast charges just about the same for cable + internet as they do for just internet…I think I heard this was because if you get internet they can’t turn off the tv signal. I really wish Verizon would bring some fiber down our street…
Hi Amber,
Heard you and Leo this week talking about Facebook connect so visited you on commandN and have now bookmarked you. Nice video blog and like the facebook login.
Steve
Thank you all for the great comments! I’m glad that the facebook connect is working so well. Thanks to the team for making it happen. We are going to have so much fun with this! More community features to come!

Nice work guys. Congrats on the new site.
Awesome shots with Toronto in the background, and the site is looking great.
Great start to a New Year, ?N!
Good show, like the geese and the even the nip was funny. Looked cold, though, it will make me stop whining about the SF bay area at 55F.
That’s what Will gets for messing with the hinterland!
BTW, another great episode guys…damn that twply!
JOSH: Can you tell us what error you get? We want to make sure to nip all these in the bud
.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments!
Jeff
Great episode and love the redesign, All the best in 2009!

I was just trying to give the swan something to munch. I guess he was a food critic.
Wow…what a nice surprise. Great new look…very clean! Amber, I misread the badge that you’re on for a moment…I thought it said “Date CommandN”…I thought “what the!?”

@Phillip - thanks for the heads up about the Donate link…will let the team know.
@Will - that goose bite is funnier every time you watch it!

Congratulations on your award success with Itunes and PCMag. No suprise to your regular listeners. Keep up the good work. Love the WP
PayPal link all good now…and working so not sure what it was. Just tested it by donating….and would encourage others to test too
Phil
Philip Roy: Donate link should be fixed now - thanks for pointing it out!
Everyone feel free to let us know about this stuff - we want to get our new home nice and tidy

Jeff
Love the facebook connect feature! And congrats on the awards. CommandN is on my top 5 favorite podcasts.
Great show! The background was nice too. Congratulations for the new website!
@Marcelo - you can thank Chris for dragging us out in the freezing cold to a duck pond on outskirts of Toronto!

Happy New Year guys. Well done on another fantastic episode and an AWSOME website. Look forward to seeing more in 2009. How about more dangerous wildlife, possibly rabbits!!!

Site is looking nice - and I love the Facebook connect!!
Hi Amber! Watching and listening to you now.
Have you tried Google Friend Connect as well?
Hi Amber,
Have followed you and Leo from the Call for Help days.
Canadian geese live year round here in North Carolina . They have their pride however . I see ducks begging for food at drive throughs but the geese concentrate on child rearing!
LOL, luv’d the old CBC hinterland hehe
Great new site!
I hadn’t watched CommandN in a while - I love the new (?) intro and transition graphics.

Interesting, the Facebook connect worked great I’ll pass this on.
Nice website, and Amber, your shows are great. Keep up the good work!!
Nice show. Jeff, are you aware of Daisey Whittney’s ( of This Week in Media) decable blogging?
Great new site! Very slick. Keep up the great work. I wear my commandN t-shirt with pride.
@Darren - good for you. If you want, send us a pic of yourself in the shirt so we can use it in a promo!

OK - we’ve at least got the comments back on one page for now. Will get the link confusion sorted out. Thanks for letting us know!

Great New Site!
wonderful site!
Love the new site. Excellent job. Great episode too.
Swans were used as watchdogs in ancient Rome.
They are some of the nastiest animals on the planet. They have been known to break bones when snapping at people. I am glad you got away with a mere bite. Geese are nasty but nothing comes close to the swan. They are descendants from raptors!!

Have a wonderful year all of you.

Love that post-credit segment. Always good to learn about non-tech too.
Love the new site and the show was great as always. Sure looks cold up there!!
Thanks for this new episode and for the facebook new way of keeping us together. Cool
Hey have been watching commandN for years but never got around to registering and after hearing net@night, I had to see how amazing (Amber) Facebook Connect is!
Great episode and great new design. I heard about Facebook Connect on net@night and thought I would check it out.
Sgt Ret: Yeah, I’ve heard swans are nasty beasts but I like the idea of a swan “watchdog” a lot
.
Thanks for the comments everyone,
Jeff
